Leadership is not a title. A leader simply is. They direct by being. Others align not because they are told, but because they trust the purpose. They find the right words for every person, speak every language in the room, and build with intention.

A book changed my life.

I read about a man who used a simple idea to make one of the hardest decisions of his life. He would project himself to age 80 and ask: will I regret not having tried this? When I applied that same question to my own life, the answer was immediate. I left everything I knew. I went to the Middle East, where I finished becoming who I needed to be. Then I moved to Dubai. And I started building.

That decision brought me here, to this city, to this work, to Verso.

Today the world moves faster than ever and produces less wisdom than ever. Disinformation spreads. Shallow content multiplies. The books that contain the real answers sit untouched in public libraries, free for over a century, read by almost no one.

I built Verso because the world needs a place to return to itself. Through the lives and works of people who had the courage to put what they lived and learned into words, without ornament.

I am deeply grateful to every one of them.
