1: Taher Khamusi: Location great! Dune bashing was too short! Shows were great! Food not so great! Waiting for camel ride was too long and finally gave up on it after waiting for 30 mins. Overall it’s a good outing and desert experience but better to go on a weekday where there is no rush!
2: Pavan Kumar KP: It’s an awesome experience. They have many activities like Dirt Racing, Camel Ride, Horse Ride, Desert Safari…. Out of all these Desert Safari is the best part. The ride will be a little adventurous and he will take you through the desert and it’s like a roller coaster experience. After your safari he will get us to some tents where they have some activities like Belly Dance, Fire Show….and finally dinner will be served and then it ends. For 2 of us we spent almost 400 D for all of these activities like Pick up and drop, racing, photography and a camel race… It’s very expressive and they will loot money in many places we need to be careful.
3: Manolis Lekkas: The Desert Safari experience is unique and there are several providers offering tours (you can find them in Cobone app). All these tour operators are coordinated among them to collect all customers from standard locations (usually some major malls in Dubai, Abu Dhabi etc.) in some usually old, noisy, narrow seat (5 seats per row instead of 4), short-circuiting buses (AC though works fine), 60-seat buses and driving them to the desert spot where they disembark in groups (one for each corresponding operator) before they onboard the LandCruisers for the dunes experience. Some offer also the option to have customers drive their own car to the desert spot before getting into the SUVs. Others things you can do is ride a camel, ride a quad bike (extra charge), have a photo with the falcon on you and have a -elementary- buffet dinner. In brief, from the 6-7 hours the whole thing lasts, less than 2 are spent on the desert experience itself (but they are enough; especially the dunes experience with the Land Cruiser which takes 10-15 minutes, you wouldn’t want it to last more)… Wear shorts and sports shoes. No hat necessary if you take the afternoon option.
